Call for Abstracts!

The Caribbean Cardiac Society 2024 37th Annual Conference at the Barbados Hilton Hotel will be held under the theme “Caribbean Cardiology: Moving Forward, Staying Current”. Every year, we put out a call for abstracts to give health care professionals the opportunity to share key information at our event. All categories of healthcare professionals are welcome and we particularly encourage submissions from non-physician staff.

We invite potential participants to get the data, do the analyses and sharpen those writing skills! We are keen to continue the conversation on cardiovascular disease and its impact on our Caribbean territories. Abstracts are invited in any area related to cardiovascular disease but particularly in the following:

TOPICS

  1. Cardiac rehab and cardiometabolic medicine
  2. Paediatric and structural heart disease
  3. Ischaemic heart disease
  4. Heart failure
  5. Electrophysiology
  6. New kids on the block: Cardio-oncology and cardio-obstetrics
  7. Just for fun/ Digital health and AI
  8. Hypertension and renal disease

We invite a wide range of formats such as original research, including implementation science and registries, case studies, case reports and literature reviews. We encourage our doctors in training to submit cases for the Professor Charles Denbow Young Clinician Award.
